Urbana Police Division - License for Peddlers, Solicitors, Canvassers, Itinerant Vendors, or Transient Dealers
License for Peddlers, Solicitors, Canvassers, Itinerant Vendors, or Transient Dealers can be applied for at the police window during regular business hours. The requirements for a license are as follows:
1.) Pay a $50.00 fee upfront; Fees can be paid by cash at the Records Department in (***EXACT CASH ONLY***) or by another method such as a card, check, or money order at our Finance office located at 225 S. Main Street, Urbana, OH, 43078.
2.) Fill out a form to be fingerprinted which will be done at that time;
3.) Provide a picture ID;
4.). Further procedure to obtain a license will be explained at the time of fingerprinting.
All licenses shall end December 31, of that calendar year in which they are acquired, regardless of the date the license is issued. Also, an identification badge will be issued and shall be worn when peddling, soliciting, or canvassing.
