Boards & Commissions

BUILDING AND ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
The Building and Zoning Board of Appeals consists of 5 members. Members include the President of Council and one member from each of the City's 4 wards appointed by the Mayor. Appointments are four year terms.

The purpose of the Building and Zoning Board of Appeals is to hear and decide appeals for variances, conditional uses, and where it is alleged there is an error in any determination made by the Zoning & Compliance Officer.

​The Building and Zoning Board of Appeals typically meets to hear applications the second Monday of each month at 6:00 PM in the Municipal Building Police & Fire Training Room. Complete applications must be received and accepted by the Department of Zoning & Compliance 14 days before any regular session.
