Requests for Accident and Incident Reports can be made during regular business hours. All reports must go through an approval process before being released. Please allow two to three days for approval. Other reports may have to be approved by the City Prosecutor for release.
License for Peddlers, Solicitors, Canvassers, Itinerant Vendors, or Transient Dealers can be applied for at the police window M-F between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00PM . The requirements for a license are as follows:
1.) Pay a $50.00 fee upfront; Fees can be paid by cash at the Police window(exact change) or by another method such as a card at our Finance office located at 225 S. Main St.
2.) Fill out a form to be fingerprinted which will be done at that time;
3.) Provide a picture ID;
4.). Further procedure to obtain a license will be explained at the time of fingerprinting.
All licenses shall end December 31, of that calendar year in which they are acquired, regardless of the date the license is issued. Also an identification badge will be issued and shall be worn when peddling, soliciting, or canvassing.
Background Checks (Criminal Record Reports) can be obtained during regular business hours. The request form can be downloaded below. The report form must be submitted by the person whose name appears on the request form and picture identification is required.
