Per Section 3.03 of the Urbana City Charter, the Mayor shall be the chief executive of the City and shall have the responsibility for the general supervision and direction of the administrative branch of the City government. The Mayor shall appoint the Director of Administration, the Director of Law, and the Director of Finance who shall serve at the Mayor's pleasure and may be removed by the Mayor without cause. The appointment of the Director of Law and the Director of Finance shall be subject to confirmation by a majority vote of Council.
